Irradiance

Noun
  • Irradiance

The irradiance, also called light intensity or output power, is an important parameter of a light engine, as it will affect the speed of the final system.

For example in 3D-printing, the more light interacts with the photosensitive polymer, the faster the curing process. In-Vision's light engines are optimized to ensure a maximum light transmission from the LED throughout the optical system and all the way to the projection area. In-Vision is always trying to push the technology further and recently launched the most powerful light engine on the market. It's called Helios and achieved 12W of output power, which is more than twice as much than any other UV projector.
